Releasing seems to be in style right now. A big number of Tamil movies from the past ten or more years are returning to theaters in May, and Kannada cinema is getting into the fray. There aren’t any big star-led movies scheduled for release in theaters this May due to the multiple phases of the Lok Sabha elections, which presents a perfect opportunity for hit movies to be re-released in theaters with the newest technology.
Supporters of the late Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar, who were treated to a remastered version of his film Jackie on the occasion of his birth anniversary in March, had anticipated seeing him on the big screen once more only when Appu was rereleased the following year, but this month offers a treat for them. On May 10, the action drama Anjaniputra from 2017 will be available once more.
Puneeth and Rashmika Mandanna were paired in the A Harsha-directed film. In this Kannada adaptation, Vishal played the lead role in the 2014 Tamil film Poojai; Mukesh Tiwari played the antagonist again. Ramya Krishna, P Ravi Shankar, Sadhu Kokila, Chikkanna, Akhilendra Mishra, V Manohar, Seetha Kote, Ratnakar Upadhyay, and Giri Shivanna are among the other actors in the ensemble cast of the movie.
In spite of receiving a mixed reception upon its premiere, the movie went on to become a box office hit. With Puneeth portraying an heir to a cloth manufacturing group who is disowned by the family matriarch due to a misunderstanding, Harsha’s remake of the original was basically faithful to the original. The central plot revolves around his reunion with his family.
Following Kirik Party, Rashmika Mandanna’s next film was Anjaniputra. After then, the actress acted in Yajamana, Chamak, and Pogaru, the latter of which was her final consecutive Kannada film. Puneeth can be streamed on OTT, even though seeing it on a large screen is undoubtedly a major attraction. If Anjaniputra appeals to you again, Sun NXT has it available.
