Apple Unveils Upgraded iPad Air Featuring New 13-Inch Model

Two new iPad Airs have been officially unveiled by Apple. There is a brand-new 13-inch tablet and a well-known 11-inch tablet among them.

As per the company, the M2 processor that was recently installed in both tablets will make them 50% faster than the M1-powered iPad Air from the previous generation and three times faster than the A12 Bionic chip-equipped iPad Air.

The company is reevaluating the iPad Air’s place in the tablet lineup, according to senior vice president of engineering John Ternus during the presentation. As for the iPad Pro, he pointed out that Apple designed it to give consumers as many features as possible at a lower cost.

Along with the new Apple Pencil Pro, the iPad Air now supports the second-generation Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard, which were previously exclusive to the iPad Pro. Remarkably, the official Apple website also offers the option to purchase a Ukrainian keyboard.

A Touch ID fingerprint scanner, Liquid Retina screens, Wi-Fi 6E, stereo speakers, four colors, and at least 128 GB of storage with a maximum capacity of 1 TB are some of the features of the new tablets.

Along the iPad Air’s horizontal edge, the ultra-wide 12-megapixel front-facing camera has been added to the updated tablets.

A 12-megapixel wide camera with 4K slow motion capability at 240 frames per second will also be included on the tablet’s back.

Artificial intelligence was also mentioned during the tablet presentation. With its 16-core neural processor, the new iPad Airs are 40% faster than the M1, according to Apple. The tablets’ CPU and GPU were equipped with a machine learning accelerator at the same time.

In the United States, the starting price for the entry-level 11-inch iPad Air model is $599, while the 13-inch model costs $799. Both tablets will be delivered on May 15 and are currently available for preorder.
