North America’s Advance Sales of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD Exceed $3 Million

Kalki 2898 AD, a futuristic mythological sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin, is scheduled to open in three days and is expected to break box office records in North America. This is one of the largest markets for Indian films outside of India, following the success of films such as the Bahubali series, the KGF franchise, Jawan, Animal, and others.

Premieres of Kalki 2898 AD will begin on June 26 and the film is scheduled for release worldwide on June 27.With Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, Malvika Mohannan, and Prabhas in supporting parts, and a few others perhaps making cameos, the film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.

To date, the movie’s North American advance sales have brought in over US$3.2 million. The first presentations in the USA and Canada contributed US$2.5 million to the collection, with the USA leading the way with over US$2.3 million from the sale of about 76,000 tickets at over 940 theatre sites.

With US $ 2.75 million, the movie is currently aiming to surpass the highest grossing first-day sales record held by SS Rajamouli, Jr., NTR, and Ram Charan.

When the movie’s advance sales finally began in India, too, the response was overwhelming. Telugu and Hindi were the most popular languages among those who purchased tickets for the movie on its first day of release across the nation, which took place in less than a day.
