Kalki 2898 AD Synopsis

The plot of Kalki 2898 AD, which is set in the dystopian city of Kashi, centres on Bhairava (Prabhas), a bounty hunter whose sole objective is to relocate to the Complex, which is governed by the Supreme Yaskin. Ashwattama is one of them; she has been waiting to locate SUM 80 and her unborn kid. Bhairava must battle Ashwattama and other armies as he sets out to seize SUM 80.

On the day of release in Tamil Nadu, the film premiered in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil. In Tamil Nadu, Prabhas has a large following, and the movie opened to better reviews than its predecessors despite not being released locally. But following its premiere weekend, the sci-fi mythical movie’s box office numbers declined.

Prabhas plays the bounty hunter Bhairava in this epic mythological sci-fi film. Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwattama, Kamal Haasan plays Supreme Yaskin, Deepika Padukone plays SUM-80, Disha Patani plays Roxie, Saswata Chatterjee plays Commander Manas, Brahmanandam plays Rajan, Bhairava’s landlord; Pasupathy plays Veeram, a Shambhala rebel; Anna Ben plays Kyra, Shobana, Harshith Malgireddy, Rajendra Prasad; and Keerthy Suresh (voice-over) is BU-JZ-1, also known as Bujji.

Nag Ashwin wrote the screenplay and directed the film. The film is being financed by the Vyjayanthi Movies label, with an enormous budget of Rs 600 Crore. For this science fiction action thriller, Djordje Stojilijkovic is directing the camera. Editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao was involved in the film. All of the music and sound in the movie were composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
