Recently, the producers of the long-awaited Tamil movie Andhagan—which stars Prashanth and Simran in the key roles—announced the movie’s release window on social media. The first official trailer for this eagerly anticipated thriller drama was unveiled by the film’s crew on Saturday, July 13.
A Remake Film
The 2018 Sriram Raghavan film Andhadhun, which stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Tabu in the key roles, is being remade in Tamil as Andhagan. Prashanth and Simran are playing the two main parts in the Tamil adaptation. Radhika Apte previously played the role that Priya Anand is now portraying.
More About Andhagan
Thiagarajan, Prashanth’s father, is the film’s director. Andhagan is being produced by Staar Movies. Karthik, Samuthirakani, Urvashi, Yogi Babu, and Vanitha Vijayakumar are among the other actors who feature in the movie. Santhosh Narayanan, the film’s composer, editor Sathish Suriya, and cinematographer Ravi Yadav make up the technical team.
Additionally, Andhadhun was recreated in Telugu under the title Maestro, starring Nabha Natesh, Tamannaah, and Nithiin. It was titled Bhramam in Malayalam, and Prithviraj Sukumaran played the protagonist.
Prashanth, meantime, is starring in Thalapathy Vijay’s next movie, The GOAT, which is helmed by Venkat Prabhu. He has been heavily featured in the movie’s continuous advertising.
