“Sector 36”: Deepak Dobriyal and Vikrant Massey’s Film will be Released in September

“Sector 36,” starring Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal, will soon be available on Netflix. Today, August 12, the date of release was revealed. Inspired by real-life occurrences, “Sector 36” tells the story of multiple kids going missing from a neighbourhood slum, prompting a local police officer to piece together a startling series of events that reveal a disturbing truth.

In roles that are unlike anything they have ever played, Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal tackle topics of power, crime, and societal inequity in “Sector 36.” The film centres on a police investigator who battles a crafty serial murderer in a terrifying inquiry that reveals secrets, captivating audiences long after the credits have rolled.

Producer Dinesh Vijan discussed the movie, explained,“We are excited to work with Netflix again and on a story like ‘Sector 36’ that is an intensely sensory film. For us, it’s a story that we felt was crucial to be told. The film is layered, delving deeply into the human psyche, exploring the hunter and the hunted, the haves and the have-nots. Vikrant Massey and Deepak Dobriyal deliver outstanding performances, and we couldn’t be prouder of their work.”

The director of Netflix India’s original films, Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, explained, saying, “Sector 36 is a chilling story that will linger with you long after it ends. The next criminal thriller, which is produced by Jio Studios and Maddock Films, led by Dinesh Vijan, will hit theatres on September 13. It will be Aditya Nimbalkar’s first feature film and is expected to provide a horrifying glimpse into society’s dark corners.
