The Rental, an OTT release date for the 2020 horror film, has been announced. Dan Stevens, Alison Brie, and other actors star in the film. IFC Films released the film on July 24, 2020, both on demand and in a few select US theatres. Reviews from critics were generally positive. On September 13, 2024, Lionsgate Play will release The Rental.

Plot

According to OTTplay, two couples seeking a vacation from their hectic lives rent a beautiful vacation house in a stunning neighbourhood in the narrative of The Rental. The idyllic setting.

They were unaware, however, that a series of unanticipated events would soon sabotage the couples’ enthusiasm to escape the strains of everyday life and their intense desire to reconnect. When things take an unsettling turn, what happens? In a few days, the movie will be available for streaming.

The Rental is a horror film that Dave Franco co-wrote, produced, and directed in his debut feature film directing position. The screenplay was co-written by Franco and Joe Swanberg and was based on a tale by Franco, Swanberg, and Mike Demski. Among its stars are Toby Huss, Jeremy Allen White, Sheila Vand, Alison Brie, and Dan Stevens.

The film was produced by Franco, Elizabeth Haggard, Ben Stillman, Teddy Schwarzman, Swanberg, and Christopher Storer under their respective firms, Ramona Films and Black Bear Pictures; Michael Heimler and Sean Durkin were executive producers.
