The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, an animated film on Netflix, has a new trailer, a release date, and other information. The voice of CD Projekt Red’s Geralt of Rivia, the show’s protagonist, is Doug Cockle, who makes a comeback in the Witcher universe.

The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep is a season one adaptation of Andrzej Sapkowski’s short novella “A Little Sacrifice,” and it takes place in between episodes five and six. After being called to a beach village to look into a string of attacks, Geralt gets entangled in a protracted battle between humans and merpeople. With a duration of one hour and twenty-nine minutes, Netflix’s animated feature will be lengthier than its last anime adaptation of The Witcher, Nightmare of the Wolf.

Unlike Henry Cavill, who portrayed the character in the live-action adaptation, Cockle will return to the role of Geralt. But after the third season of Netflix debuted, Cavill reportedly left the streaming service because of creative disagreements with the showrunners. Liam Hemsworth will play him starting in season 4 and going forward.
