The official Get Away trailer, which features a family of four on vacation who unintentionally become a serial killer’s next target, was released by IFC Films and Shudder.
The official logline explains, “A family’s vacation to a remote getaway takes an unexpected turn when they discover the island they’re on is inhabited by a serial killer.”
When is the Get Away release date?
On Friday, December 6, Get Away is slated to open in theatres. It will go up against A24’s disaster comedy Y2K and Searchlight Pictures’ Amy Adams-starring film Nightbitch. Along with high-profile releases like Kraven the Hunter, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mufasa, Nosferatu, and A Complete Unknown, the movie will also have its premiere in the same month.
Nick Frost of Shaun of the Dead wrote the screenplay for Steffen Haars’ film Get Away. Aisling Bea as Susan, Maisie Ayres as Jessie, Eero Milonoff as Matts, Ville Virtanen as Det. Forsberg, Anitta Suikkari as Klara, Jouko Ahola as Sven, and other actors star in the movie while Frost plays Richard. Vince Totino, Nate Bolotin, Pip Ngo, Patrick Fischer, Jennifer Eriksson, Simon Lewis, Julia Stuart, and Laura Grange serve as executive producers. Frost, Lee Kim, Nick Spicer, John Hegeman, Ram Tertzakian, and Maxime Cottray are the producers.
