Trailer Park Boys’ ‘Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties’ Trailer Reveals the Film’s Release Date

Based on the Canadian mockumentary series Trailer Park Boys, Blue Fox Entertainment has released the trailer and release date for their next comedy film, Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties. Six years have passed since the sitcom’s 12-episode run came to an end.

When is the Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties release date?

On December 6, 2024, Standing on the Shoulders of Kitties: The Bubbles and the Shitrockers Story will be released in theatres around the country, including in New York and Los Angeles. This is the first Trailer Park Boys film to be released after the show’s 2018 finale and the fourth episode in the franchise.

“While Bubbles and his band, ‘The Shitrockers,’ are playing shows around Nova Scotia a viral internet clip lands them a European tour opening for Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters,” reads the film’s official synopsis. “With Randy as their roadie, they head to Prague but soon get kicked off the tour, busking to survive. Can Ricky and Julian come to the rescue?”

Mike Smith wrote the screenplay, which Charlie Lightening is directing. Smith, Robb Wells, JP Tremblay, Pat Roach, Ronnie Wood, Martin Freeman, Robert Sheehan, and Billy Bob Thornton are among the cast members. At some point this autumn, Smith’s real-life band, Bubbles and The Shitrockers, will release a brand-new 14-track album.
