It has been revealed that the live-action version of Oshi no Ko would be titled “Oshi no Ko: The Final Act.” The movie’s official poster and trailer have also been made public.
Water and Ruby, twin infants, are resurrected as the “oshis” (favourites) of the famed idol Ai, a former member of the “B-Komachi” group. The narrative is based on the manga of the same name by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, which started serialisation in Weekly Young Jump in 2020. They enter the entertainment sector, where Aqua navigates the intricate world of Hollywood while trying to learn the truth behind Ai’s death.
Asuka Saito (formerly of Nogizaka46) plays Ai in the live-action version, while Kaito Sakurai plays Aqua and Nagisa Saito (previously of =LOVE) plays Ruby. In addition, Mizuki Kayashima portrays Akane Kurokawa, a well-known influencer who falls in love with Aqua, and Nonoha Hara portrays Kanami Arima, a former child actor. Kana Kurashina, Nobuaki Kaneko, Ryo Narita, Kotaro Yoshida, and Jun Kaname are other noteworthy cast members.
The movie, which is scheduled for release on December 20, comes after the drama series, which will start streaming on November 28. Important scenes are shown in the teaser, including Goro calming Sari Tendoji, an Ai fan, in her last moments and his surprise when Ai, who is now pregnant, shows up as a patient. The trailer also foreshadows the story’s suspenseful conclusion by hinting at Aqua’s transformation from a contented life as Ai’s child to demanding retribution for Ai’s death.
The original song “SHINING SONG” by “B-Komachi,” which consists of Ruby, Kana, and MEMcho, has also been selected as the film’s closing track. The dramatic and frantic track is also hinted to in the trailer.
