The property market is quite frightening. Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano play a Los Angeles couple who are trying to conceal a possibly fatal secret beneath a plot of excellent real estate in the first full-length teaser for Netflix’s No Good Deed.

The dark comedy, which is scheduled for release next month, centres on a variety of families who are interested in purchasing Kudrow and Romano’s home, a “1920s Spanish-style villa located in one the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles,”

Though the various groups “believe [the house] to be their dream house” and are “convinced it will fix all of their very different problems … Lydia and Paul know all too well [that] sometimes the home of your dreams can be a true nightmare.”

The logline goes on to explain, “As they struggle to hide the dark and dangerous secrets that linger inside their longtime home, Paul and Lydia begin to realize that the only way they’ll escape the past is to finally face it.”

The main pair in the caravan uses a covert camera to observe potential customers. Romano explained that,“We have to get out of here before we both lose our minds,”

The episode also has guest stars Matt Rogers, Kate Moennig, Chloe East, Rory Scovel, Wyatt Aubrey, Kevin Alves, Linda Lavin, Anna Maria Horsford, and Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu, Teyonah Parris, and Luke Wilson.

In 2022, Netflix ordered the new series straight to series. At the time, showrunner Liz Feldman explained that her “maniacally searching Zillow” during the early days of the pandemic: “I’m endlessly grateful to Netflix for being such a supportive creative home and for continuing to allow me to turn my crippling anxiety into entertainment.”
