Philip Barantini, the filmmaker of Boiling Point, has been chosen to direct the newest entry in Netflix’s coming-of-age mystery film series, Enola Holmes 3. Lead actor Millie Bobby Brown is anticipated to return as the title detective, but other narrative and character elements are still being kept under wraps.
After receiving praise for his efforts on the independent film Boiling Point in 2021, which he co-wrote and directed with James Cummings, Barantini’s first significant motion picture project will be Enola Holmes. Stephen Graham was nominated for two British Independent Film Awards, including Best Director and Best British Independent Film, for his kitchen drama film. Additionally, he directed two episodes of the Boiling Point TV series on BBC One. The four-part series Adolescence, which Barantini is presently working on with Netflix, recently finished production.
Who is involved in Enola Holmes 3?
Alongside heading the cast, Brown and Bobby Brown are producing Enola Holmes 3 under the PCMA Productions banner. Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Richards will also serve as executive producers for the film, while Legendary Entertainment will be represented by producers Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia.
Brown is currently working on the last season of Stranger Things, where she will play the beloved character Eleven one last time. In addition to the third Enola Holmes film, she will next be seen in The Electric State, a sci-fi adventure comedy on Netflix that was directed by Anthony and Joe Russo for Avengers: Endgame.
