‘In The Lost Lands’ by George R.R. Martin Will Finally Be Released

The release date for In the Lost Lands, George R.R. Martin’s forthcoming fantasy film, has finally been revealed. Fans won’t have to wait much longer, as the creator of Game of Thrones disclosed that the Dave Bautista and Milla Jovovich-led movie will be released in theatres in a few months. Paul W. S. Anderson will helm this film, which is based on Martin’s short tale of the same name.

Martin’s Not a Blog website announced the news, urging followers to mark February 28, 2025, on their calendars. The author also reflected on how she had considered creating more stories about Grey Alys but was never able to do so.

The original edition of In the Lost Lands appeared in the anthology AMAZONS II in 1982. Grey Alys (Jovovich), a witch, is sent to the Lost Lands in quest of magical power by a queen who is yearning to find happiness in love. Boyce (Bautista) is by her side, and the two of them collaborate to overcome the challenges and adversaries they encounter. The film also stars Fraser James (Terminator: Dark Fate), Simon Lööf (Threesome), Deirdre Mullins (The Couple Next Door), Arly Jover (Blade), and Amara Okereke (Red Rose).

Other Project Updates Based On George R.R. Martin’s Works?

Since 1971, Martin has written a large number of books, short tales, and other works of fiction, while his A Song of Ice and Fire novels are his best-known works. His work earned him multiple accolades and honours, including the Locus Award for Best Fantasy Novel and his induction into the New Jersey Hall of Fame in the Arts & Entertainment category.

Many of his works were adapted for film and television during his career. There have been several advances about the popular fantasy property, but there has been no indication on whether his other works would be adapted into a TV series or movie. In addition to House of the Dragon’s third and fourth seasons being approved, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a spin-off series, is slated to premiere in 2025.

In the Lost Lands will enter theaters on February 28, 2025.
