It is the first time that VD has ever worked with ‘Jawan’ director Atlee, and it was directed by Kalees. “Baby John,” which opened in theatres today (December 25), is without a doubt one of the year’s most eagerly awaited releases.
The release of Baby John, which was produced by Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios, Vipin Agnihotri Films, and A for Apple Productions (headed by Atlee and his wife Priya Atlee), has created a lot of buzz.

The film centres on a police officer (VD) who goes above and beyond to ensure his family’s safety.
Filmmaker and trade analyst Girish Johar explained in an exclusive interview with Ranpreet Kaur of Filmibeat that Varun Dhawan’s Baby John is expected to have a strong opening day at the box office, earning between Rs 11 and Rs 13 crore on its first day of release.

‘Theri’, Atlee’s 2016 Tamil hit, has been adapted into Hindi by Varun Dhawan. In addition to Amy Jackson, Baby Nainika, Motta Rajendran, and J. Mahendran, the main cast of the Tamil version included Thalapathy Vijay and Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
