Barroz OTT Release: When and Where to Watch Mohanlal’s Fantasy Film Online

Last year on Christmas Day, December 25, Mohanlal’s first film as a filmmaker, Barroz, was released.

Disney Plus Hotstar will broadcast Barroz, a fantasy film directed by Mohanlal. Through their social media accounts, the OTT platform made the announcement. They explained, “The magic of Barroz: The Guardian of Treasures is coming soon to Disney+ Hotstar!” The movie is reportedly scheduled to appear digitally in the final week of January 2025.

A devoted lieutenant who works for Portugal’s Da Gama kings is the subject of the film Barroz, which was directed and starred Mohanlal. The story takes place in 1663, and the monarch gives Barroz a vital task: to guard a treasure and make sure it is only given to a Da Gama descendant.

Barroz continues to carry out his responsibility, protecting the wealth for four hundred years. Waiting for the appropriate person to claim it, he transforms into a spirit guardian. That individual is Isabella, a little child who is thought to be a Da Gama descendant. In order to complete Barroz’s pledge to the king and enable the spirit to return to his world, she must now take the riches.

Barroz’s wish to return to his kingdom, Isabella’s quest to accept the riches, and the adventures that take place along the route are the main themes of the movie.

Cast and Crew of Barroz

The outstanding group that makes up the Barroz cast is led by Mohanlal, who plays the title character. Isa Ron/Isabella da Gama is portrayed by Maya Rao West. Nerea Camacho makes a brief appearance as adult Isa Ron, and June Vig portrays young Isabella da Gama.

Ron Madhav, played by Tuhin Menon, is another well-known cast member. Kallirroi Tziafeta plays Theresa da Gama, while Joshua Okesalako plays occultist Muwesi Maria.

Kalavoor Ravikumar wrote the dialogue for the movie. The narrative, meanwhile, is based on Jijo Punnoose’s Barroz: Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure.
