Melissa Barrera Horror Rom-Com’s Your Monster Max Release Date Is Set

The release date for Vertical’s most recent horror romance comedy, Your Monster Max, which stars Melissa Barrera from Scream VI, has been revealed by Warner Bros. Both critics and viewers have given the movie favourable reviews since its October release.

“The film tells the story of the soft-spoken actor Laura Franco, who is dumped by her longtime boyfriend while recovering from surgery and retreats to her childhood home to recover,” reads the official synopsis. “With her future looking bleak, insult is added to injury when Laura discovers her ex is staging a musical that she helped him develop. But out of these gut-wrenching life changes emerges a monster (Tommy Dewey) with whom she finds a connection, encouraging Laura to follow her dreams, open her heart and fall in love with her inner rage.”

When is the Your Monster Max Release Date?

Starting on Friday, January 24, Your Monster will be streamed exclusively on Max. On Saturday, January 25, it will be televised for the first time on HBO. Alongside Barrera, the ensemble also includes Ikechukwu Ufomadu as Don McBride, Brandon Victor Dixon as Will, Taylor Trensch as Scotty, Tommy Dewey as Monster, Edmund Donovan as Jacob Sullivan, Kayla Foster as Mazie Silverberg, and Meghann Fahy as Jackie Dennon.

Caroline Lindy wrote and directed the movie, which was based on her short film from 2019. Kayla Foster, Lindy, Kira Carstensen, Melanie Donkers, and Shannon Reilly were the producers. Editor Daysha Broadway, editor Jon Higgins, and cinematographer Will Stone are all members of the creative team.
