Rock & Roll Hall Eight first-time nominees for the of Fame Bad Company, the Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, Outkast, and Phish. All of them are eligible 25 years after their first albums. Past finalists include Soundgarden, Oasis, and Mariah Carey. Pop bands and jam bands are among the many genres represented among the nominees.
An artist’s effect on music culture, their influence on later musicians, and the scope, durability, and impact of their body of work are all considered in the selection process.
The ballots for this year’s nominations for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will be submitted to more than 1,200 voters worldwide, which include artists, music historians, and business professionals.
Late April will see the announcement of the inductees as well as those who will be joining the Hall under the Ahmet Ertegun Non Performer Award, Musical Influence, and Musical Excellence special committee categories.
Specific dates and ticket information for the 2025 Induction Ceremony will be revealed in the upcoming months. The event is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles this autumn.
