Kraven the Hunter, the sixth part in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, debuted in theatres on December 13, 2024. Sergei Kravinoff is portrayed by Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the Marvel film. However, it will have a chance to reach a new audience when it is made available online in March 2025.

Plot

The plot of the film revolves around Sergei Kravinoff, whose life changes after he loses his mother and decides to flee from his father after a hunting trip. Kraven learns that he is different from an ordinary person and that he has the power of a lion. After discovering his super abilities, he embarks on the journey of self-discovery. What happens next is revealed in the movie.

Through Columbia Pictures, Marvel Entertainment, Arad Productions, and Matt Tolmach Productions, Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and David Householter are funding it. Kraven the Hunter’s screenplay was written by Art Marcum, Richard Wenk, and Matt Holloway.

Its Box Office Performance

Even though Kraven the Hunter was always expected to have a terrible debut, its US box office receipts fell short of the $13–$16 million estimate. Even worse than Madame Web’s $15.3 million opening weekend, Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s film brought in $11 million during its three-day run. In the meantime, the movie only made $26 million worldwide.

To date, the movie has brought in $24.09 million in the US and $34.86 million abroad. The worldwide total for Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s picture is just $58.95 million.
