The Thomas Crown Affair, the heist film starring Michael B. Jordan from Black Panther, has a release date set by Amazon MGM Studios. The project is characterized as a reinvention of the 1999 Pierce Brosnan picture, which was a remake of the same-titled 1969 Steve McQueen thriller.

Director and Cast

Jordan co-stars and directs with Taylor Russell in the film, which is a sequel to the same-titled 1968 Norman Jewison original starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.

The Thomas Crown Affair brings Jordan back together with the company that delivered Creed III, his directorial debut in 2023.

Wes Tooke and Justin Britt-Gibson authored the first draft of the new film’s script, which was then written by Drew Pearce (The Fall Guy). Marc Toberoff and Patrick McCormick are producers, and Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo co-produce under his banner, Outlier Society. The original film’s writer, Alan Trustman, serves as executive producer.
