American Airlines let a traveler know that “safety will always be our top concern” after a plane with “smoke in [its] cabin” had to make a crisis arrival in Madison, Wisconsin, on Sunday evening.
American Airlines said that the crosscountry departure from New York City to Los Angeles was grounded by a “mechanical issue” at 2:19 p.m. CT.
Tom Rapier posted on Twitter that the flight needed to land in Madison because of “smoke in cabin,” and every one of the travelers deplaned. American Airlines reacted that the clients would be on one more plane to Los Angeles around 7:30 p.m.
American Airlines guaranteed that the group would take “excellent care” of the grounded travelers.
“Our team is working to get our customers on their way as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused,” an American Airlines representative told Fox News in an assertion.
