ASCAP or The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers has joined forces with Colorado Record Label 50/50innertainment To collect royalties for their music in 2020. Labeled as a publisher on ASCAP, 50/50innertainment is one of Colorado’s most highly recognizable Hip Hop Record Labels and has gone viral and reached millions of people across the web via their social networks.
This helps 50/50innertainment and owner Michael Mares keep track of where the music is being played and brings in an extra source of income for the label. Anybody that now plays their music at events, clubs, bars and so forth are now liable to pay a percentage to the publisher and artist. This also protects their music as more people will be liable for highjacking their music from the web and getting away with it like in the past.
