A new Superman: Legacy television ad has been released by DC Studios. This commercial offers a new look at Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and David Corenswet as Superman. Superman flying over freezing landscapes is one of the previously unreleased scenes in the teaser, which also makes references to important plot points. The movie is positioned in this advertising material as a significant turning point in the development of the DC Universe.

Superman, played by David Corenswet, soars in the most recent DC TV commercial

A new TV promo for Superman: Legacy has been released by DC Studios, including fresh footage of Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor and David Corenswet as Superman. The 30-second preview, which was made available to DC Fan First members ahead of time, combines new footage with moments from previous trailers. The images, which are accompanied by a reworked John Williams tune, show Superman fighting enemies, interacting with Krypto, and protecting bystanders.

One of the clearest looks of David Corenswet in the iconic role may be found in these scenes. Other images show Superman rescuing a young child, fighting a fire-breathing monster, and spending time with Lois Lane.

For the flying scenes, director James Gunn used drone technology to achieve a sense of realism, drawing inspiration from Top Gun: Maverick (as reported by ComicBook). This technique enhances the depiction of Superman’s flight by promoting a realistic movement and complex shots. No mid-air fighting is shown in the teaser, so the specifics of the action choreography while in flight are left a mystery.

The announcement highlights Superman’s cinematic comeback as a component of James Gunn’s recently created DC Universe. Rachel Brosnahan plays Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult plays Lex Luthor, and David Corenswet plays Superman. In supporting parts, the cast also includes Edi Gathegi, Nathan Fillion, and Isabela Merced.

Superman: Legacy, the first live-action film in the new DC Universe, will premiere on July 11, 2025.
