Dates for the theatrical rerelease of the 2016 critically acclaimed anime coming-of-age film A Silent Voice have been announced by GKIDS. Critics have given the movie favourable reviews ever since it came out.
When is the A Silent Voice theatrical Rerelease date?
On December 15 and 16, A Silent Voice will formally return to theatres across the United States. Reiko Yoshida of Violet Evergarden wrote the screenplay, which was adapted for the movie by director Naoko Yamada. The Colours Within, Yamada’s upcoming anime film, is anticipated to appear in the United States on January 24, 2025.
The voices of Megumi Han as Miki Kawai, Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Satoshi, Aoi Yūki as Yuzuru, Kensho Ono as Tomohiro, Yūki Kaneko as Naoka, Yui Ishikawa as Miyoko, Saori Hayami as Shoko, and Miyu Irino as Shoya were among those featured. Kyoto Animation produced the movie, which was based on the same-titled manga by Yoshitoki Ōima. Hideaki Hatta, Susumu Okinaka, and Osamu Yoshiba are executive producers, while Toshio Iizuka, Kensuke Tateishi, Mikio Uetsuki, and Nagaharu Ôhashi are producers.
“After transferring into a new school, a deaf girl, Shoko Nishimiya, is bullied by the popular Shoya Ishida,” reads the film’s synopsis. “As Shoya continues to bully Shoko, the class turns its back on him. Shoko transfers and Shoya grows up as an outcast. Alone and depressed, the regretful Shoya finds Shoko to make amends. “A Silent Voice” is a moving coming-of-age drama that depicts the struggles of adolescence through its memorable characters and beautiful animation.”
