Actress Aparna Balamurali Joins ‘Raayan’, Expresses Gratitude to Dhanush

The regular updates and the recent announcement of a star-studded cast, Dhanush’s much awaited 50th film has been creating buzz. Using gifted actors from the Tamil film industry, director Dhanush seems to have gone above and beyond for this historic project. Dhanush recently praised the incredibly talented actress Aparna Balamurali in a post on X.

Dhanush has confirmed that the immensely gifted actress Aparna Balamurali has joined the cast of Raayan in the most recent update. Dhanush made the announcement by revealing the initial appearance of Aparna’s character in the film.

Aparna’s modest appearance makes her look elegant in the first poster. In order to maintain a classic look, Raayan’s costume designer Kavya Sriram chose a classic blouse design.

“I am eternally grateful to Dhanush K Raja sir for allowing me to be a part of Raayan,” the Soorarai Pottru actress wrote as a heartfelt caption for the photo on her X account, thanking him for the opportunity.

She went on to say, “It’s a blessing to share the screen with Dhanush sir himself, Selvaraghavan sir, SJ Suryah sir, Prakash Raj sir, my dearest Kannan (Kalidas Jayaram), my amazing co-star Sundeep Kishan and darling Dushara Vijayan.” She was thrilled to be working with such prestigious actors.”

Dhanush is the writer and director of the upcoming Tamil film Raayan. Since the official title of the movie was unveiled a few weeks ago, there have been regular updates on the project.

In the first look poster for Raayan, Dhanush was pictured with Kalidas Jayaram and Sundeep Kishan, looking gritty. Then, posters with SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Dushara Vijayan, and now Aparna Balamurali from Raayan were released. Under the Sun Pictures banner, Kalanithi Maran is producing Raayan, which features music composed by Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman.
