Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ Earns Rs 7 Crore on Day 1 at the Indian Box Office

On its first day at the Indian box office, the Ajay Devgn film “Maidaan” took in over Rs 7 crores. Football coach Syed Abdul Rahim is the subject of this biographical sports drama movie. At the box office, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” an action movie starring Tiger Shroff and Akshay Kumar, and the sports film faced off against each other. According to preliminary estimates, “Maidaan” is performing worse at the box office than “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.”

April 10, 2024, saw the paid preview performances of “Madiaan,” which drew rave reviews from all directions. In observance of Eid, the movie was released globally on April 11.

‘Maidaan’ made approximately Rs 2.6 crore net from its paid premiere in India on April 10. On its opening day (April 11), the sports drama is reported to have brought in a net amount of Rs 4.50 crore at the domestic box office. Positive word-of-mouth appears to be benefiting the movie.

In India, ‘Maidaan’ has brought in a net total of Rs 7.10 crore. A total occupancy of 14.56 percent was recorded for the movie on April 11.

Ajay Devgn plays football coach Syed Abdul Rahim in the biographical sports drama “Maidaan,” which is directed by Amit Sharma. He helped India gain international recognition while coaching football there from 1952 to 1962.

Salwyn Quadras, Aman Rai, Atul Shahi, and Amit Sharma are co-writers of the screenplay. In addition to Ajay Devgn, important roles are played by Priyamani, Gajaraj Rao, Devyansh Tripathi, Boney Kapoor, Nitanshi Goel, and Aayesha Vindhara in the movie.
