Casa Bonita Movie From South Park Creators has A New Trailer and Release Date

Fans of South Park will undoubtedly be aware with Casa Bonita, a restaurant in Denver that makes a significant appearance in a legendary episode from season seven. The first trailer and theatrical release date for the upcoming documentary directed by the South Park creators, Casa Bonita, have been revealed. It’s definitely making a comeback.

Variety reports that the documentary ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor! will have its Denver premiere on September 6 and go on display in theatres in New York, Los Angeles, Austin, Boston, and a few more cities beginning on September 13. In the autumn, Paramount+ will release the documentary for individuals who are unable to attend a screening. The documentary will follow Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park, as they work to revive the venerable Denver eatery known as the “Disneyland of Mexican restaurants.” Arthur Bradford is the director of the documentary, which took home the Tribeca Festival audience award.

The Casa Bonita Mi Amor! trailer delves into Stone and Parker’s lifelong infatuation with the iconic eatery, ultimately resulting in their acquisition of it when the chance arose. But as the caravan also explains, the restaurant was in desperate need of rehabilitation when it was purchased. ¡Casa Bonita Mi Amor! is a film by the same producers as 6 Days to Air: The Making of South Park, which also starred Stone and Parker and detailed the meticulous process of producing an episode of the show in a remarkably short length of time.

Casa Bonita is a Classic Episode of South Park

The long-running cartoon series has a lot of memorable and funny episodes, but “Casa Bonita” is one of the greatest. The episode debuted during season seven in 2003.

South Park concluded its 26th season in March of 2023, and it is still going strong today. An official release date for the 27th season has not yet been announced. Nevertheless, viewers don’t need to fret because the program was renewed for a further four seasons. Alongside Stone and Parker, they have rapper Kendrick Lamar on board for a live-action comedy film project. The scheduled release date of such movie is July 4, 2025.
