The filmmakers removed a few minutes from the movie one day before it was released in response to the CBFC’s objections to the use of profanity in the production.
On April 5, Parasuram Petla’s Family Star, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Mrunal Thakur, will hit theaters. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) raised five objections to the movie’s use of profanity before it was released. On Thursday night, the filmmakers did, however, declare that the movie’s certification and runtime had been altered.
The Runtime and Certification of Family Star
Family Star now has a 2-hour, 30-minute runtime and has been censored U, according to a press release released by the movie’s crew. The censor board has certified this film with a clean U rating. The note states that “audiences of all ages can enjoy together a family entertainer that lasts for two hours and thirty minutes.”
But, the CBFC had originally given the movie a U/A certificate earlier in the day and requested that the profanity in the rom-com be muted. That version also had a runtime of two hours and forty-three minutes. In addition to the censor board pointing out the overuse of alcohol labels in one song, the offensive language was mostly used in scenes that were set in the US.
The manufactures received the original certificate on April 2, and they are likely to receive the updated certificate one day before the movie opens on April 4.
In Relation to Family Star
Under the auspices of Sri Venkateswara Productions, Dil Raju and Sirish distribute Family Star. With music composed by Gopi Sundar, the movie will be released in Telugu and Tamil. Following the hugely popular 2018 release of Geetha Govindam, Family Star is Vijay’s second Parasuram film. After Hi Nanna and Sita Ramam, this is Mrunal’s third Telugu film.
Although the plot of the movie is still unknown, the teaser and promotional materials suggest a misunderstood love story between Vijay and Mrunal’s characters. India and the US are the story’s two settings.
