Many Bollywood celebrities watched the movie Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, last night. Renowned South Indian filmmaker Vignesh Shivan also had a chance to see the film, and he praised Vijay and Katrina for their performances. After seeing the film, Vignesh, Nayanthara’s husband and director, was in a state of amazement. He thought Katrina and Vijay had excellent performances in Merry Christmas.

Sriram Raghavan’s outstanding screenplay for the suspenseful film was also commended by Vignesh Shivan. He thought the movie transported him—or would transport others—back to the time of Alfred Hitchcock. Also, Vignesh commended Pritam’s soundtrack for the film. The director also discussed the impending new film’s climax, stating that it was simply too good. He urged everyone to enjoy Merry Christmas, which opens in theaters on January 12. He wrote, “Very proud of you, Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi!” as additional compliment to Vijay. You just managed to keep everything together with such ease.”
