Clash of Titans: Darshan’s “Devil” Takes on Dhruva’s “KD” at the Box Office

Devil of Darshan vs. KD of Dhruva: In the Kannada film business, December is a crucial month. Two more films under large banners are expected after Dolly Dhananjay’s Uttarakaanda! While Darshan’s Devil has already announced that it will be released on Christmas screens. KD, starring Dhruva, is now making waves and its director, Prem, is planning for a December release.

2024 hasn’t done so well at the box office thus far because none of the films that have been released have brought in a lot of money. The Karnataka Board of Film Commerce was not so concerned about the industry’s future as it was with average-grossing films, even though they could weather the dry spell to some extent.

This year, the prominent stars have banded together to preserve the survival of the Kannada cinema industry, when in the past they would only produce two or three films year at most. In what way?

For the starters, bankrolled by KVN, the KD movie featuring Dhruva Sarja, helmed by Prem, is set to grace in December. “And to make the news more solid, let me tell you that the movie is already in the shooting stage.”

Prem tweeted a teaser of the movie, saying, “#KDTheDevil is the first Indian movie to use a huge orchestration in Europe to create amazing music. Join us on a musical journey unlike anything you’ve ever experienced.” Record-breaking pricing set a new standard for audio rights, secured by renowned music label @aanandaaudio. August 24 is the first single release date. all ready to take over theaters across the globe in December 2024.”

However, Prakash Veer and J Jayamma are the film’s directors. Actor Darshan has announced that Devil will be released. “A unique announcement for all of our well-known stars and Kannada enthusiasts: ‘Devil’ will be released on Christmas Eve in 2024. May your hopes and love always be with Kannada cinema.”
