Clash of Titans: ‘Salaar Part 2’ Threatens ‘Raja Saab’s Release

On the eve of the Sankranthi festival, director Maruthi gave away the name of his next movie, which stars Prabhas as the lead.

We called the film “The Rajasaab.” It’s interesting that Maruthi also portrayed it as a movie that will work for viewers all over India.

The release date was not, however, officially announced. Considering that half of the filming has already been finished, the release window for this movie should ideally be in late 2019 or early 2020.

In May of this year, Nag Ashwin’s science fiction drama “Kalki 2898 AD” is slated to hit theaters.

There is no set date available for “The Rajasaab,” but “Kalki” has an official release date.

Prabhas reportedly wants to have options available to him. First priority will be given to the action drama for release if “Salaar 2” can start and finish this year.

Thus, “The Rajasaab” is going to be delayed until 2025. Should Prasanth Neel need more time to complete “Salaar 2,” Maruthi’s movie is expected to be released this year.

Rajasaab’s future is therefore dependent on the timing of “Salaar 2’s” production.
