Daisy Ridley’s Cleaner Has a US Release Date and A New Action Movie Photo

The action movie Cleaner, starring Daisy Ridley, has a US release date set by Quiver Distribution. Simon Uttley wrote the screenplay and Martin Campbell, the director of James Bond, directed it.

The upcoming action movie, which is produced by Qwerty Films and Anton, has its North American rights purchased by the film distribution business. Set in modern-day London, Cleaner will follow Joey Locke, Ridley’s former soldier who now works as a window cleaner in one of the tallest buildings in the UK. Joey has to make sure everyone is safe before it’s too late when 300 people are held hostage by a bunch of extreme radicals led by a guy played by Clive Owen.

When is the Release Date for Cleaner?

On February 21, 2025, the movie will be released in theatres across the United States. Cleaner will also feature One Piece’s Taz Skylar in addition to Ridley and Owen.

In Cleaner, a group of radical activists have taken over the “energy company’s annual gala, seizing 300 hostages in order to expose the corruption of the hosts,” said to the film’s description. An fanatic inside their ranks takes over their just cause and is prepared to kill everyone within the building in order to spread his anarchy message throughout the world. To rescue those trapped inside, Daisy Ridley’s character, a former soldier who is now a window cleaner, is suspended fifty stories above the building’s exterior.

Starring in action flicks is nothing new to Ridley, who is most recognised for her role as Rey in the Star Wars series (The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker). The Marsh King’s Daughter, Magpie, Young Woman and the Sea, Ophelia, Chaos Walking, Sometimes I Think About Dying, We Bury the Dead, and Murder on the Orient Express are just a few of the feature films in which she has starred.
