Dexter Original Sin OTT Release: The Prequel Series Starring Patrick Gibson & Christian Slater

Clyde Phillips is the creator of the mystery crime drama serial Dexter: Original Sin. Patrick Gibson plays the main character, Dexter Morgan. The show is based on the same-titled novel by Jeff Lindsay. Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, and Molly Brown feature in the ten-episode series, which will conclude on February 14, 2025, with a Valentine’s Day conclusion.

Prime Video will debut Dexter: Original Sin

Set in Miami in 1991, Original Sin centres on young Dexter Morgan, a student who can’t control his bloodthirsty impulses and is trying to find a way to deal with his inner evil. He turns into a vengeful serial killer under the influence of his father, Harry (Slater). Born This Way, the season finale of the ten-episode Original Sin series, will debut on Paramount+ worldwide on February 14.

The plot

The show centres on Dexter Morgan, who moved to the made-up little town of Iron Lake, New York, after feigning his death in a hurricane ten years prior. He poses as Jim Lindsay, a clerk at a nearby sporting goods store, there. He leads a tranquil life at first and develops a romantic relationship with the town’s police head. But when his estranged son suddenly reappears, his new existence is upended. Dexter’s sinister secrets could be revealed as odd happenings start to happen near Iron Lake. Throughout the series, the events that are taking place and their effects are made clear.

Production and casting

Reno Wilson as Bobby Watt, Brittany Allen as Laura Moser, Raquel Justice as Sofia Rivera, Christian Slater as Harry Morgan, Christian Gibson as Dexter Morgan, Christian Slater as Christian Morgan, James Martinez as Angel Batista, Alex Shimizu as Vince Masuka, Patrick Dempsey as Aaron Spencer, and Aaron Jennings as Clark Sanders are among the cast members of the series. Adam Brightman and Judson Schwartz are producing it under the auspices of John Goldwyn Production, Clyde Phillips Productions, Showtime Networks, and The Collection Company.

Season 1 of Dexter: New Blood will also debut

On February 9, Dexter: New Blood, another miniseries, will be released alongside Dexter: Original Sin. In addition to Hall, this 2021–2022 version, which consists of 10 episodes and features Dexter feigning his death, stars Jack Alcott and Julia Jones. After over a decade of living in upstate New York under a different name, the former forensic specialist received an unexpected visit from his son, whom he had abandoned years prior.
