The Telugu states are embroiled in a contentious debate concerning the availability of tickets for Prabhas’ upcoming film, “Salaar.” The movie, which had a large budget when it was released, had an odd situation with online ticket sales.
Tickets in Telangana multiplexes cost Rs. 65 in single theaters and Rs. 100 in multiplexes, while in Andhra Pradesh, they cost 40 rupees for ten days.
It was stated that not all of the tickets were available, though.
According to recent reports, PVR Inox and Mirage theaters in North India were assigned to screen the film “Saalar,” but the film’s crew decided not to proceed with its screenings. The main justification offered was that these theaters seemed to favor Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Dunki.”
Hombale Films negotiated an equal distribution of screens for “Dunki” and “Salaar” in North India with two multiplexes, PVR and Inox, prior to “Salaar” premiering.
The decision to stop screenings of “Salaar” was made, though, because it seems that more screens in these multiplexes were given to “Dunki.”
Expectations for ‘Salaar’ skyrocketed after the second trailer was released, leading to a spike in advance reservations. As fans hurriedly tried to purchase tickets via the Book My Show app, the server momentarily crashed.
