Dave Fox’s motto in life is “make life tap,” a philosophy derived from his love of mixed martial arts. It’s this philosophy that he has used to succeed in sales, business, marriage, and to create a lifestyle most only dream about.

As the co-founder of Focus Global Talent Solutions, Dave Fox’s journey has been an intriguing one. 

Dave graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2009 with a degree in finance, and subsequently moved to New York City to start his career as an accountant for a jewelry company. While he flourished in his new role, he didn’t feel the fulfillment and rush of sales, something he had done since college. 

Dave came across a Craigslist Ad for a global recruitment company that was in the process of expanding into the United States. Dave received an offer to work with the company, which would change the course of his life.

Over the next eight years, Dave rose from being a trainee recruiter to becoming the global top biller for his company, bringing in revenues over $7 million. He also became the world’s premier expert in the recruitment of Adobe Experience Cloud professionals. 

Soon, Dave decided to open his own specialty IT staffing firm, Focus Global Talent Solutions, with his wife, Brittany Fox.

Dave began Focus Global Talent Solutions in January 2018. Focus is radically changing how staffing and recruiting works for niche areas of technology. Focus’ motto is, “We take the pain out of recruitment so you can focus on what you do best.” 

Focus was created with the belief that many companies over-complicate their recruitment process, especially when looking for in-demand, niche talent. Focus simplifies this process through a variety of innovative methods.

As Dave explains, “GTS works with companies around the country and using their cutting edge recruitment process they’ll typically cut in half the time it would typically take to fill a position. The Corporate Executive Board recently did a study and found that it costs a company $500 per day for an open position. With our cutting edge process Focus is saving companies thousands of dollars.”

Dave has made it his life’s goal to motivate others to become the best they can be in every area of their lives. An active MMA enthusiast, Dave uses the analogy of submission in fighting to describe the way most people allow life’s circumstances to beat them up, forcing them to “tap out” (to give up in a fight by tapping the other fighter or the floor). Many people give up on their aspirations and dreams too early, and simply  settle for an average life.

Dave is passionate about reversing this outcome for others: by working hard, constantly learning, and focusing on key outcomes, anyone can reverse life’s circumstances and “make life tap” in order to live the life they envision for themselves.
