Woodford was one of eleven attendants around the emergency clinic selected for the honor. Medical attendants can be designated by partners, patients, or families, with the champ browsed a panel at the emergency clinic.
Woodford was chosen as the victor for her new work with a veteran not under her consideration. While the patient was hanging tight for a podiatry arrangement, Woodford perceived that he required other help. Notwithstanding the patient not being hers, she assumed control over issue, addressing the issue, and getting the patient on route to his arrangement.
In shock from her unexpected acknowledgment, Woodford put her credit onto her patients. She said that while there were regular difficulties that accompanied being an attendant, the associations, particularly those of appreciation afterward, from patients made her work significantly simpler.
“To see how much you can touch their lives, it’s pretty amazing,” said Woodford. “It makes every minute, every hard part of my job — it makes it all worth it.”
The medical clinic will keep on perceiving unprecedented attendants with the DAISY Award each and every other month. The following honoree will be named in September.
