Handmaid Tale will premiere its sixth and final season on Hulu. Based on Margaret Atwood’s book, the season will debut with three episodes and then air weekly until the May 27 series finale. The arrival of the red-cloaked insurrection for Gilead is confirmed via a first-look teaser.

Handmaid Tale Teaser Trailer and release date

The three-episode drop of The Handmaid’s Tale is scheduled for April 8. Until the May 27 conclusion, new episodes will air every Tuesday.

June Osborne narrates a message regarding the meaning of the handmaids’ scarlet clothing in the trailer. “The clothes were supposed to define them,” she explains. Red, she explains, is a colour that symbolises both blood and wrath. She explains how they turned into an army and how the garment became a uniform.

Plot:

June’s fight against Gilead will continue in the final season. Moira and Luke are going to join the resistance. Serena will make an effort to alter Gilead. Aunt Lydia and Commander Lawrence will have to face the repercussions of their previous behaviour. Nick will encounter challenging situations. The season will centre on themes of courage, optimism, and unity in the struggle for freedom and justice.

“They believed that these garments that they put on our bodies told the world who we are. To mark us, they put us in red, the color of blood. They forgot that it’s also the color of rage. The dress became our uniform. And we became an army,” explains,Elisabeth Moss, as leader of the revolution, in the new footage.

The Sixth and Last Season:

Moss was aware of June and Serena’s ultimate destination for the popular Hulu series, as were co-showrunners Yahlin Chang and Eric Tuchman for season six.

“June’s unyielding spirit and determination pull her back into the fight to take down Gilead. Luke and Moira join the resistance. Serena tries to reform Gilean while Commander Lawrence and Aunt Lydia reckon with what they wrought, and Nick faces challenging tests of character. This final chapter of June’s journey highlights the importance of hope, courage, solidarity and resilience in the pursuit of justice and freedom.”

Josh Charles, Ever Carradine, and Sam Jaeger are also part of the season six cast.
