The first batch of branded phones under the Pulse series has been released by HMD. The HMD Pulse, Pulse+, and Pulse Pro are in the lineup. Allowing Gen 1 users to purchase self-repair kits from iFixit is a way for the company to focus on their repairability. Changing the screen and the battery are two of these repairs. The phones feature an HD+ IPS display, an enormous 5000mAh battery, and Android 14.
HMD Pulse Series Price
Beginning at €140 (approximately Rs 12,500), the HMD Pulse is available in 4GB and 64GB models.
The base model of the HMD Pulse+ costs €159, or roughly Rs 14,200, while the 6GB/128GB version of the HMD Pulse Pro costs €180, or roughly Rs 16,100.
Although no information about the Pro’s availability has been made public, the HMD website will sell the Pulse and Pulse+.
The Specifications for HMD Pulse and HMD Pulse+
The 6.65-inch IPS LCD display features a punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 600 nits of peak brightness, and 1612 X 720 pixels of resolution on the HMD Pulse and Pulse+. Both phones use the Mali-G57 MP1 GPU in conjunction with the UNISOC T606 chipset. MicroSD cards can be used to expand the internal storage of the phones, which has up to 256GB of capacity and up to 6GB of RAM.
The company promises to provide two years of OS updates and three years of security patches for the phones, which come pre-installed with Android 14. There are several connectivity options available, such as GPS/AGPS/Galileo, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
A 13MP primary camera with AF dual LED flash, Super Night, and a secondary depth shooter are included in the HMD Pulse’s camera lineup. A secondary sensor and a 50MP primary camera are features of the HMD Pulse+. For taking selfies and conducting video chats, both phones have an 8MP camera.
A 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support powers the HMD Pulse and Pulse+. It has an IP52 rating, OZO audio, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and one speaker.
HMD Pulse Pro Features List
The 6.56-inch HD+ display on the HMD Pulse Pro has a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels, a peak brightness of up to 600 nits, and a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The UNISOC T606 SoC powers the Pro model, which has 6GB or 128GB of storage that can be expanded further with a microSD card. With two years’ worth of Android updates and three years’ worth of security patches, the phone is running Android 14 OS.
A 50MP primary camera and a secondary sensor are included with the HMD Pulse Pro. A 50MP camera on the front of the Pro model is used for video chats and selfies. There are several connectivity options available, such as GPS/AGPS/Galileo, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB Type-C port, dual-band Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, and a 3.5mm audio jack. With support for 20W fast charging, the phone has a 5000mAh battery.
