With Disney establishing a holiday period for the next installment in the cartoon series, the release date for Ice Age 6 has been formally announced.

When is the Ice Age 6 Release Date?

In a recent release date change, Disney announced that the Ice Age 6 movie will be released on December 28, 2026. The movie is released a few days after Christmas, which is a prime time for any picture.

Long-time franchise stars Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, and Queen Latifah will return in Ice Age 6, the sixth installment of the series, although not much is known about it. They will play Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the ground sloth, Diego the saber-tooth tiger, and Ellie the woolly mammoth, respectively.

Simon Pegg of Shaun of the Dead has also agreed to return to the role of Buck the one-eyed weasel, who was initially featured in the 2016 film Collision Course. Later, he played the role again in The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, a Disney+ film. The director and writer are currently part of the unidentified creative team.

20th Century Fox subsidiary Blue Sky Studios developed Ice Age. Josh Peck, Seann William Scott, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, Nick Offerman, Jennifer Lopez, Peter Dinklage, and Josh Gad were also part of the voice cast.

Between 2002 and 2016, five Ice Age films were released in theatres, grossing a total of $3.2 billion worldwide.
