Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film, which is helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and has the working title “Thalaivar 171,” is the subject of rumors. The film is rumored to star Rajinikanth in a darkly comic role as a gangster, with production set to start in April 2024.

The most recent example of Rajinikanth’s ability to charismatically portray negative characters is Chitti from the Enthiran series. Fans have always appreciated this quality.

According to rumors, “Thalaivar 171” is a distinctive multistarrer movie with actors from other industries playing significant roles. Sivakarthikeyan may have a significant role in the movie, according to rumors.

Written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the movie is reportedly not a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe but rather a stand-alone endeavor. The Anbariv pair will choreograph the action, while Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music.

Though names like Jeeva from “Kaaka Kaaka,” Raghava Lawrence, Sivakarthikeyan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Mammootty have surfaced in casting rumors, none of these details have been formally confirmed.

However, in honor of Rajinikanth’s birthday which fell on yesterday, the producers of his upcoming movie officially revealed it would be called “Vettaiyan.”
