The studio is accelerating the 007 reboot and has even set a release date for it, following the abrupt (and extremely alarming) transfer of the creative rights to the James Bond property from veteran producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson to Amazon. In addition, it has been disclosed that the upcoming James Bond film would have a £250 million budget, which is a major blockbuster.
Bond 26: Bolder, Bigger, £250M Action in 007
The next movie, Bond 26, is reportedly going to cost £250 million, which is about the same as Daniel Craig’s last 007 movie, No Time to Die.
“The Bond bosses had already proposed broad plots and reboot ideas,” a source told The Sun, indicating that the movie is anticipated to hit theaters by the end of 2027.
“The goal of assembling the writers’ rooms is to recover their investment as quickly as possible.”
Release date
These efforts include setting a release window for the first film in whatever form the reboot takes. The studio is allegedly “fast-tracking work” and wants to get the next 007 film in theaters by the end of 2027.
Usually, October and November saw the release of Bond movies.
Cast
The search for a new 007 to take Daniel Craig’s position is intensifying, and the person chosen to succeed the British actor will have a lot of responsibility. Craig is a fan favorite and the actor who has played Bond the longest, having done so for 15 years.
Although there were rumors that Aaron Taylor-Johnson had been cast in the part, Henry Cavill appears to be the public’s favorite.
Given that Ian Fleming’s original James Bond novels are anticipated to become public domain in the US, UK, Australia, France, and Germany in 2035, Amazon is eager to recoup their investment. This could hypothetically lead to rival film studios making their own movies about the Bond books.
