KOEI TECMO Releases the Opening Movie for Atelier Yumia

KOEI TECMO released the opening video for Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & The Envisioned Land. This cinematic teaser offers a glimpse of Yumia’s adventure by introducing key characters, noteworthy occasions, and the vibrant world she will explore. The video builds excitement for the eagerly anticipated JRPG, which is scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.

Storyline of Atelier Yumia

Players go on an exploration of the concept of memory in Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. Players take on the role of Yumia Liessfeldt, a young alchemist who lost her mother in a childhood accident. Yumia’s mother concealed her identity as an alchemist, and players must discover the true motivations behind her, as well as the forbidden art of alchemy. Yumia meets Vikto von Duerer and his younger sister, Isla von Duerer, when she joins the Aladiss Research Team. A diverse group of individuals, such as a shy demi-human, an enigmatic woman, and a former adventurer with amazing experiences, join them there.

All civilisation has died on the huge continent that was formerly the Aladissian Empire, and Yumia and her friends will traverse it together. In order to explore a vast open world composed of various biomes, players will have access to a wide variety of actions and items throughout the adventure. As they navigate these uncharted territories, they will be able to gather materials that can be used to synthesise and craft new items for use in their quest, both during exploration and combat.

All platforms are currently accepting digital pre-orders for the Standard, Ultimate, and Digital Deluxe editions. In addition to the base game, the Digital Deluxe edition comes with the Colourful Collection, a “Puni Badge” that boosts experience gain and ensures drops from Puni monsters, and a set of different clothes for every character—two for each.

In addition to the Digital Deluxe content, the Ultimate edition comes with the Season Pass, which includes 400 additional music tracks from other Gust games, swimsuit and ‘Fantasy Academy’ costume sets, two additional maps and a new story, a set of blueprints and recipes and, as an extra bonus, five different hair colours for each character.

The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, KOEI TECMO hopes to revive the Atelier franchise after the enormous success of Dynasty Warriors Origins. The developers unveiled the official video depicting the game’s introductory movie on February 21, 2025.
