La Dolce Villa Photos Release the Netflix Rom-Com’s Release Date Scott Foley as the lead role

The latest romantic comedy film from Netflix, which stars Felicity veteran Scott Foley as a man who travels to Italy to prevent his daughter from squandering her money, has released images of the La Dolce Villa.

Following roles in the 2001 drama Stealing Time, the 2000 film Scream 3, and the 2017 Marlon Wayans comedy Naked, this is Foley’s first film production in which he plays the lead in a long time. Playing Hayden Wells Garrells in Max’s brief political drama series The Girls on the Bus was his most recent part.

“Successful businessman Eric travels to Italy to stop his daydreaming daughter Olivia from restoring a crumbling villa. Italy, however, has different plans for him as it delivers on its legendary promise of beauty, magic, and romance,” reads the official synopsis.

When is the La Dolce Villa release date?

Netflix will be the only place to stream La Dolce Villa starting on Thursday, February 13, 2025. Mark Waters is the film’s director, and Elizabeth Hackett and Hilary Galanoy wrote the screenplay. Giuseppe Futia, Maia Reficco, and Violante Placido are featured in the cast; Reficco portrays Foley’s character’s daughter. Robyn Snyder and Deborah Evans are producers, and Hackett and Galanoy are executive producers.

“All I will say is that we meet both Eric and Olivia’s respective love interests, Francesca and Giovanni, right at the beginning, but our leads will need to overcome quite a few obstacles, both internal and situational, before they can settle into their happiness,” Waters said in a statement (via Tudum). “‘The path to true love is never smooth.’ Ain’t that the truth!”
