The first trailer for the live-action version of “Lilo & Stitch” has been released by Disney. The much awaited live-action adaptation of Disney’s 2002 animation masterpiece will debut exclusively in theatres across the country on May 23, 2025. It will be the second Disney live-action remake of the year, after the March release of “Snow White,” starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.

What Is Shown in the Official Lilo and Stitch Teaser Trailer?

The first official teaser video for Lilo and Stitch showed the blue alien of the same name wreaking havoc on what appeared to be a beach, demolishing sand castles everywhere. The 30-second preview gives a sneak peek at the nostalgic extravaganza that the movie is set to be.

Film Director

Award-winning director Dean Fleischer Camp is directing the movie, which was adapted from a script by Mike Van Waes and Chris Kekaniokalani Bright.

Cast

Zach Galifianakis, Sydney Agudong, Kaipo Dudoit, Tia Carrere, Courtney B. Vance, Amy Hill, Jason Scott Lee, Hannah Waddingham, and Billy Magnussen are among the cast members.

Producers

Jonathan Eirich and Dan Lin are the producers of Lilo & Stitch, while Thomas Schumacher, Louie Provost, Ryan Halprin, and Tom Peitzman are the executive producers.

Plot

“Lilo & Stitch” features a little orphan who is being raised by her adolescent sister, Nani, much like the original animated movie from 2002. The Hawaiian idea of “ohana,” which meaning family, helps Lilo form a strong link with Stitch (née Experiment 626). Family ensures that no one is forgotten or left behind.

However, Stitch remains determined to wreak havoc on the lush, tropical paradise. He honks at innocent motorists and throws a CD (do you remember those?) at a moving car, spinning it out onto the street. In the later scenes, which are appropriately set to Elvis Presley’s “You’re the Devil in Disguise” and “Hawaiian Roller Coaster Ride,” Stitch terrorises a magnificently built sandcastle, chugs the liquid in a lava lamp, and foolishly drives a golf cart through the harsh streets of Hawaii.
