Multi-platinum musician Lizzo declared she will perform at Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum on May 16 as part of her “Special 2our.”
Furthermore, it really is “about damn time,” Lizzo has not played Milwaukee since she was here at Summerfest in 2019. The Fiserv Forum performance is a part of the second leg of her 2022 North American tour, a 17-date engagement that beginnings on April 21 and wraps June 2.
American Express Card Members will have first access to buy concert tickets with a presale opening Nov. 16 at 10 p.m. and wrapping Nov. 17 at 10 p.m. A while later, ticket sales will open to the general public on Nov. 18 at 10 a.m. and can be bought through the Fiserv Forum site or Ticketmaster.
The 22-year-old rapper, Latto, is set to open for Lizzo all through the tour. Latto’s EP “Big Latto” was released in summer of 2019 and highlighted the breakout single “Bitch From Da Souf.” Latto released a remix of the track including Saweetie and Trina a few months later.
Lizzo’s latest single, “About Damn Time,” off her most recent album “Special,” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and broke the top 10 in 12 different nations. The album, which peaked at number two in the U.S. Billboard 200 chart, has been depicted as “the most unabashedly joyous, sonically diverse and emotionally profound album put out by a major label since Beyonce’s Lemonade,” by Rolling Stone.
