Marshmallow, an independent horror film, is slated to make a summer camp nightmare come true this spring. Black Friday’s Andy Greskoviak wrote the screenplay and Daniel DelPurgatorio directed the movie in his feature debut. The film’s first trailer gives an idea of its tense and frightening mood. With Giorgia Whigham, Alysia Reiner, and Corbin Bernsen in the lead roles, Marshmallow will be released in theatres on April 11 by Hemlock Circle Productions.

Plot

Daniel DelPurgatorio, who co-directed the animated short Tales of the Black Freighter, which was set in Zack Snyder’s Watchmen, makes his feature directorial debut with Marshmallow. It follows Morgan (played by Kue Lawrence from The Amityville Murders), a 12-year-old introvert with nightmares who goes to a remote summer camp.

A strange figure begins stalking the campers, resulting in the youngster and his new companions to undertake a perilous assignment, and Morgan realises that a terrifying campfire myth about the camp has come to life.
