Mickey 17 Box Office Response
The movie only made $35.7 million domestically and $92.2 million worldwide, despite expecting to make between $175 and $180 million. After receiving conflicting reviews from viewers, the film struggled at the box office and was deemed a failure. It will be made available digitally for people who were unable to see it in theaters.
Plot
The novel Mickey 7 by Edward Ashton served as the inspiration for Mickey 17. A man who enlists in a space expedition as a “Expandable” to do multiple risky missions is the subject of the book. Despite his multiple deaths and subsequent clonings, the 17th version manages to survive. This results in the simultaneous existence of two identical Mickeys, which is forbidden in the universe. After this, events drastically change, leading to disputes around the frozen colony planet Niflheim.
