Munjya Box Office Day 10: Sharvari’s Film Crosses 50Cr, Shines Bright in Second Weekend

Day 10 Munjya Box Office Collection: Abhay Verma, the latest phenomenon in Bollywood, is making headlines, and for good reason. The endearing actor, who shot to fame after appearing in Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man 2, is currently winning people over with his big-screen debut in Munjya. Munjya is a horror comedy film that is based on the mythology of Munjya, which draws inspiration from Indian folklore. It also stars Sharvari, Suhas Joshi, Mona Singh, and Sathyaraj in important parts. Following Stree, Roohi, and Bhediya, Aditya Sarpotdar’s Munjya is the fourth Maddock Supernatural Universe movie.

The eerie plot and amazing visual effects in the teaser had created a lot of excitement in the community, yet Munjya opened to overwhelmingly positive reviews from viewers. Regarding the plot, Abhay’s acting and his rapport with Sharvari and Mona Singh, everyone has been blown away. Munjya has managed to light the box office on fire while winning people over with its charm. Munjya had an incredible first weekend of sales following its opening day collection of Rs 4 crores.

Even while Munjya’s opening Monday attendance did significantly decline, the horror comedy has been screaming loud at the box office ever since. Following a first week gross of Rs 35.3 crores, Munjya made Rs 3.5 crores on its second Friday (Day 8). On Day 9, or second Saturday, it had an over 85% increase in attendance, earning Rs 6.5 crores. It’s interesting to note that Munjya didn’t stop there, earning an additional Rs 8.5 crores on the second Sunday (day 10) to bring the total earnings for the film to Rs 53.8 crores. In the second week, Munjya will face competition from Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion, thus it will be interesting to see how it does at the box office.

Meanwhile, talking about her character in Munjya, Sharvari told ETimes, “My character is a modern girl who wants to achieve her dreams and prioritises them before everything else, which I think we all do nowadays. Many girls will relate to my character. Her dating life is also quite confusing, many girls will relate to that too. A very beautifully written character”.
