The first trailer for Sirens, the upcoming dark comedy on Netflix that stars Meghann Fahy, Julianne Moore, and Milly Alcock, is being released.

Trailer

The trailer for Netflix’s upcoming series Sirens was unveiled, and if the streamer was aiming for anything “slightly disturbing,” it succeeded.

The teaser emphasizes the weird sensations with a looping bass riff from Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used to Know.”

Sirens Release Date

The premiere of Sirens is scheduled on May 22.

What is Sirens about?

The limited series from Maid creator Molly Smith Metzler stars Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus, Drop) as a woman who comes looking for her younger sister (Milly Alcock, House of the Dragon) — only to discover she’s become ensconced in the strange world of a wealthy family. Netflix’s description reads, “Devon (Fahy) thinks her sister Simone (Alcock) has a really creepy relationship with her new boss, the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell (Julianne Moore). Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury is like a drug to Simone, and Devon has decided it’s time for an intervention, but she has no idea what a formidable opponent Michaela will be.”

Main Cast

Kevin Bacon, Glenn Howerton, Bill Camp, and Felix Solis are all featured in Sirens.

Play Background

The show is based on Elemeno Pea, a play that Metzler wrote while attending Juilliard. Following Maid’s popularity, Metzler secured a partnership with Netflix, of which this is the first product.

Director and Producer

Through her Quiet Coyote imprint, Metzler serves as executive producer and showrunner. Colin McKenna, Nicole Kassell, who directed the first two episodes, and Dani Gorin, Tom Ackerley, and Margot Robbie for LuckyChap are also executive producers.
