OpenAI has revealed intentions to include its cutting-edge AI video creation tool, Sora, straight into ChatGPT. By enabling users to create stunning video clips within the chatbot, this change seeks to improve AI-driven content production. Users can currently produce up to 20-second videos with Sora through a dedicated web app that was released in December. Additionally, OpenAI is thinking of creating a stand-alone smartphone application for Sora.

Plans for OpenAI Beyond ChatGPT

During a “office hours” session held on the social media platform Discord, Rohan Sahai, OpenAI’s product lead for Sora, talked about the tool’s goals and future. The OpenAI executive did not, however, specify a precise date for the integration.

Explained Sahai, the ChatGPT integration might not offer the same degree of functionality as the Sora standalone version. The complete version allows users to edit and splice the video that the application creates. The version that comes with ChatGPT can have less or less features.

What Users Should Know About This

Imagine creating text, photos, and videos all within ChatGPT with seamless AI-powered content creation.

Prospects for companies and content producers: ChatGPT offers marketers, instructors, and content producers the ability to automate video storytelling.

Sora and ChatGPT’s vision

Sahai clarified that in order to make ChatGPT straightforward, they chose to release Sora as a stand-alone online application.

OpenAI has enhanced Sora’s online experience since its debut by providing additional methods to view user-generated content.

Additionally, Sahai explained that they are actively seeking mobile engineers for the purpose of creating a stand-alone mobile application for Sora.

Capabilities

Earlier this week, OpenAI formally unveiled GPT-4.5, the most recent version of its AI model. For ChatGPT Pro users and developers, GPT-4.5 is presently accessible as a research preview. Next week, Plus and Team users should be able to access it as well.

The latest version of ChatGPT from OpenAI promises a plethora of new features, such as “higher emotional intelligence and creativity” when it comes to writing tasks and less AI hallucinations.

Additionally, users can already use ChatGPT’s text-to-image converter Dalle-E directly within the app.
